There are different ways you can get involved with Tabla and the Indian Music community in Seattle. Below are some ideas-for information on any of the below, just send us a message.

Learn Tabla

Vishal has developed a unique style of teaching that has been adopted by some of his students. We follow a set progression of exercises and compositions to develop the student's technique and rhythm. Throughout the year Vishal's senior students will be giving individual and group lessons in the Seattle area. Vishal himself is here to teach from June through August every year. If you would like to know more about lessons, get in touch.

There are also learning opportunities for people outside of the Seattle area. We are going to be starting tabla intensives for people who want to come to the Seattle area from anywhere to learn in a compact, intensive setting. Vishal and some his senior students will be teaching the courses. If you are interested in this please let us know

Another great way to learn tabla is to sign up to participate a summer tabla camp on Vashon Island led by Vishal.

Join Ragamala

Ragamala is a local organization that promotes and produces Indian music concerts in the area. They bring top musicians throughout the year to the Seattle area. For information on how to join go to www.ragamala.org
